This page goes deeper on everything from the Try It Tonight section of Issue #3. You have the prompt. This is where you learn how to save it.
A skill is a saved prompt you trigger on demand. You write it once. Claude applies it every time.
Think of it like a labeled Post-it you keep in a drawer. You don't tape it to your screen permanently. You grab it when you need it.
Step 1: Open Claude at claude.ai
Step 2: Start a new conversation
Step 3: Paste your skill at the very top of the conversation, before you type anything else. This is called priming the conversation.
Step 4: Then type your request underneath. Example:
[paste your brand voice skill here]
Now edit this paragraph for me: [paste your text]
Want to save it permanently?
Go to Settings > Custom Instructions and paste your skill there. It will apply to every conversation automatically.
Or create a Claude Project (covered in Issue #2) and paste your skill into the Project Instructions. It will apply to everything inside that project.
